A lot of people think that anyone running for a public office will say anything to get your vote.

The truth is, that is not always true. Yes, there are politicians who tailor their answers to fit the crowd they are talking to.

Fortunately for us, Roland Straten, Republican candidate for US House of Representatives, is not one of those smooth talking politicians.

Roland is a down to earth, straight talking guy who sees a problem and figures out how to fix it. That is why he is running for Congress.

Roland sees kids being deprived of good educations because they are forced to go to inferior school. Their parents aren't allowed to choose the best school for their children.

He sees energy prices that are out of whack while politically correct Democrats are afraid to expand America's search for oil, gas, and nuclear energy.

Roland sees that New Jersey taxpayers are the highest taxed taxpayers in the nation who can't afford more layers of Obama taxes on top of our already stifling Corzine tax burden.
