Firm sues over Passaic County Jail phone pact
By JOHN PETRICK, SPECIAL TO THE HERALD NEWS
A Texas firm has filed a lawsuit alleging Passaic County deprived taxpayers of millions in revenue and violated public bidding laws in awarding a contract to a rival firm to provide inmate phone services in the county jail. MORE

Jail revenue
As overseer of communications in Passaic County for 15 years, I was at a meeting when PCS submitted a proposal for the inmate revenue contract. A question should be asked of them as it was at the metting I was at. What will you charge the families of the inmates to receive a call from the jail? At the meeting I was at it was much higher then Securus.
The jail has lost the INS prisoners, in order to make up for the loss of revenue from them I'm sure the inital call will be extremly high for PCS to pay the commissions they have promised. Just asking.
